| How
to Publish & Promote an Ebook By Christofer Yang This is relatively easy and can be done in about an hour's time (granted the content is already written). One of the biggest advantages is having the ability to write, publish and promote your own ebook from home without paying the thousands of dollars to an outside company. However, promoting it will prove to be a lot more difficult. 1. Write your book and save it into a.doc format. Check your document for grammatical and spelling errors. If you have the funds, hire an editor to it for you. If you have access to a teacher or someone else who can proofread your book for you, ask them to look at it for you. A fresh set of eyes will find errors that you may accidentally overlook. Assure them that they will be listed as the editor. 2. Don't forget to title each section and create a table of contents and number each page. 3. Once your book is finished, you now need a cover to represent it. Having great artwork will bring color and life to it. Have a graphic artist design a cover for you to establish a professional look to your ebook. If you are low on money, some graphic artists will design one for you for free, as long as you give them credit. 4. Add any necessary images and credits to the book. 5. Now, you are ready to publish! You may go to websites like MediaConvert or PDFOnline to convert the files from .doc to .pdf. Media Convert also allows you to publish the book in several different word formats. This is good as it allows your readers to choose from several different formats to choose from. If the files are not together and you would like to put them together, simply go to rel=nofollow [http://www.pdfhammer.com]http://www.pdfhammer.com. If you have trouble with any of the above links, you can also go to Google to find the pdf program of your choice. You're finished with compiling your book! Your book is published now, but you are going to want to promote it. Here are some tips on promoting your new book. 1. Having a website really helps. Your readers will need a central location to find and purchase your new ebook. Sure, there are other sites that will sell it for a fee, but nothing speaks professionalism like having your own. Do not attempt to build your own, if you have never built a site before. 2. Once your website is built, you should sign up Clickbank or Createspace. ClickBank will allow others to sell for you! There is a small one time fee of $49, but many find it to be well worth it! 3. Join as many social networking sites as possible and promote your new book. Be diligent and hire independent agents to promote and sell for you. You can work out agreements where they are paid only if they sell copies! If you sell your new ebook for $4.99 a download, you can pay them $1.50 per book sold. You will still net $3.49. If you multiply that by 5,000 buyers, you would make $17,450! By putting a set goal amount, you drastically increase your chances of being successful. 4. To further promote your book, you can run advertisements in your local newspaper and newspapers. 5. Search for blogs related to the nature of your book and ask if they would be willing to promote your book in exchange for free copies. It would also help to schedule interviews.
