How to Easily Turn Articles Into E-Books
By Addy K.

Reusing articles into a new e-book is one of the tips of people teaching others how to create lots of content for a website, but very few people actually tell you how best to do this. It can be very easy to turn a clump of articles into an e-book, as long as you follow some simple steps from Day One of the article writing aspect of your business.

1. Keep all of your articles tidy. In your computer, have a folder, or several, just for your articles and keep every single one you write. You can divide them up by subject if you wish in order for increased organization. For example, if you want to write an e-book on security, you would have articles on things like spam blocking, virus scanning, security software reviews and so on, in a separate folder, away from any other articles you have written. When you do things this way, you have already set up which articles are going to go in which books.

2. When you start organizing things for your e-book, grab all of your articles that are related to one subject in the book and lump them together. With some bridging sentences and a bit of revision, you may find that each chapter of the books have already been written. This only works though if you've written decent articles to begin with, so always write your articles with an eye towards possible expansion. You can do this by doing articles in clumps and in an order fashion. If you were doing a security e-book, you would write your articles in order-what kind of threats are out there for your computer, what is done to defend computers against these things, and so on. When you manage your articles like this, most of the work of organizing your e-book has been done for you.

3. Figure out what order of chapters you want. This is the new work; you have to sort out how you want your e-book to be presented and then insert the articles as suitable. Make sure the articles flow smoothly into each other and that there is some new information just for the e-book so that people aren't just able to read it for free via your articles. You can do this easiest by having a brand new chapter on something that a lot of people would want to know about. Make sure to have some new nuggets of information throughout the article and check your older articles to be sure they're still up to date. This is where the majority of your work should be, if you've done the past steps properly and it shouldn't take long since by now you should be an expert in your field.

4. Get the artwork, cover page and editing done. You may want to outsource this aspect to an artist and an editor; the artist to make it look good and the editor as a second pair of eyes since by this stage, you've seen your work so much that you know it off by heart and thus could easily miss stupid mistakes.

5. Market it and you're done! Watch the profits come in. Writing an e-book isn't nearly as difficult as writing a solid book because in most cases, you've already done the bulk of the work in the form of articles. As long as you were organized with your articles, you'll find that the e-book largely writes itself. Then it becomes a great extra source of income for your business.
